The United States Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued a food safety alert advising U.S. citizens to avoid eating romaine lettuce due to a multistate outbreak of E. coli.

An official recall has not been announced, but the CDC recommends that all romaine lettuce should not be eaten. If you have purchased romaine from Glorioso’s recently, please return it along with your receipt for a full refund, or throw it away.

Be sure to wash your produce drawers and any shelves that have been in contact with romaine lettuce.
