Cooking Without Recipes Trivia and Cooking Competition

$99Prepare yourself to take a culinary journey like no other where we put your food knowledge and cooking skills to the test!
Class will begin with a game of food trivia in which students will place students as the 1-6 seed to choose from available ingredients.
Chef will demonstrate searing an animal protein, building fond, deglazing, building, and finishing a sauce.
The team that scores the highest in trivia will have first pick of ingredient options: protein, deglazing agent, sauce body (various broths/stocks), aromatics, and finishing agents.
Chef will explain and demonstrate making pilaf and risotto. Students will then choose between making one of the two, as well as choose their ingredients.
Teams will then create a delicious meal that they will present to our Chef. The dishes will be judged on plating, flavor, texture, balance, and creativity.
One team will be declared the Cooking Without Recipes winner!
This class will place each student in a group of four. Groups of five or six will be split to accommodate the cooking competition format. This class will be approximately 3 hours in length.
Our classes are organized so you work together in a hands-on, fun and engaging environment with our professional chef instructor.
